1. Individual configuration and updating

Update and add to map data, obtain add-on functions or download the latest software updates – with the Becker MAP PILOT, you experience a completely new dimension of flexibility and configurability.

2. Removal from the rack

The Becker MAP PILOT is quickly and easily removed from its rack in your vehicle’s glove compartment. Simply press the slide on the front of the rack to release the lock and pull the MAP PILOT out.

3. Connecting to the PC and updating

Downloading map or software updates couldn’t be easier. Simply connect the Becker MAP PILOT to your PC or laptop using the included USB cable and away you go.

The required “Becker Content Manager” software is automatically installed on your computer the first time you connect up the MAP PILOT. If automatic installation has been disabled on your computer, Content Manager can also be installed manually. To do this, open the Start menu, select “Workstation”/”Computer” and click on the Becker MP drive. In the “Becker Content Manager” folder, you will see the Setup.exe file. Click on this icon to start the installation.

Please note that you need this program (Becker Content Manager) to buy most products in the Becker MAP PILOT Web Shop!

4. The Becker MAP PILOT Web Shop

The Becker MAP PILOT Web Shop always has an up-to-date selection of maps, add-on functions, updates and specials – such as map subscriptions or seasonal map packages – available for you to buy.

Please note that you must have an Internet connection to access the Web shop.

5. Registering and obtaining the latest maps

To be able to access the Web Shop in Becker Content Manager, you need to register when you first visit the Web Shop.

When you register, your personal information and the device-ID are stored, so that for any future purchases, you simply need to log in and enter your payment details. For security reasons, these are not stored and you are requested to enter them each time you make a purchase.

To register, enter your e-mail address as your user name and then enter a password.

6. Information and shopping

To make a purchase, select the product and click on the “Add to basket” button. Your product selection is then displayed in your shopping basket, from where you can choose to continue shopping or proceed to the checkout with your selected product(s).

If you have not already registered, you will be prompted to register. Once you have done this, you have the opportunity to check your order and complete your purchase by entering your credit card details. For security reasons, you are requested to enter your credit card details each time you make a purchase.

7. Downloading maps

Once you have successfully completed your purchase, we e-mail you an order confirmation and you can download the product(s) you have bought.

The download starts automatically. Once the data has been downloaded, you can use Becker Content Manager to copy it to your Becker MAP PILOT.

The download time depends on your available bandwidth and download speed.

Becker MAP PILOT Software Update Version 2.5

Numerous features such as the travel guide from Merian and Tunnel Sight Pro can be used, and you will find improvements in the user interface. Thanks to the new, advanced software 2.5, you have considerably more options than previously. For example, route sections can be blocked directly on the map and alternative routes are calculated automatically.
